American (English) remake of the French series HPI (2021)
Synopsis
It is about Morgan, a single mother of three, and how she can use her unique mind to help solve a crime by rearranging evidence during her shift as a police cleaner. Despite having a very high IQ, an excellent memory, and extensive knowledge of secrets, Morgan makes a series of basic legal errors that anyone who has ever watched a legal show on TV must avoid making. In the first episode, for example, he takes a document from a locked safe in the suspect and victim’s law office that would never be admissible in court – evidence obtained illegally.
Ok, the show is off to a great start, Kaitlin Olson has put in a solid performance
Nor can it be used to obtain other evidence – a violation of the “fruit of the poisonous tree” legal doctrine. In episode 2, she has to be reminded to put on gloves before touching evidence at the crime scene, and in episode 3, she picks up all the documented evidence from the police station, completely breaking the chain of evidence and making anything she took inadmissible in court. She’s overly complacent in this episode and makes things difficult
The series is a lot like the TBS series “Monk,” where a borderline Asperger’s person helps the police solve crimes. Again, the show is solid so far, but not as quirky or entertaining as “Monk,” but it’s fun to watch. Episode 3 is where things really start to derail and I hope episode 4 really picks up steam.

He takes evidence from the police station, manipulates the evidence, and contaminates it. IMPLICATIONS? Zero…
Again, I hope this improves in episode 4
It’s distracting how annoying she is in this episode. He shows almost no signs of self-awareness or remorse for his actions.
